About us
"Europe 2001" magazine is a publication about culture and social policy with periodicity of 6 issues per year. Its first edition appeared at the beginning of 1994. Since then, it has been on the media market for 14 years. The main goal of the publication is to give the readers information about the various European countries, their economy, culture, traditions, social life.

The magazine cooperates with the embassies and cultural institutions of different countries in Sofia as each edition is dedicated to a particular country. The presentation of the country starts with an interview with the president or the prime-minister of the country and the ambassador of its diplomatic mission in Sofia. Under the headings of “File” and "Society" we publish materials related to the economy, social structure and history of the country we present and its relationship with Bulgaria. The cultural interconnections are covered under the heading of "Europeans", "Cities", "Art", "Shop-window", "Traditions". We have rubrics about modern Bulgarian art - "Atelier", "Photo Atelier", "Litart" in which we present artists, photographers, poets.

Our partners up to this moment have been the embassies of Greece, Ireland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Finland, Denmark, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia, Poland, Cuba, Croatia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Turkey and others.

All the materials have short summaries in English.

The scheme of distribution of the magazine is the generally applied one for this kind of editions - subscription, free sale by means of distributor companies and maintenance of an Internet site. This scheme ensures "Europe 2001" magazine a wide range of readers (students, teachers, journalists, diplomats, politicians, traders, managers of companies, artists, etc.) throughout the country.

The publication of each edition involves an official presentation before audience of approximately 150 people, which is opened by the ambassador of the respective country.
