In their first movie together, created 1957 and called "There’s upon a time…" main characters are geometric shapes, cut out of colored paper, living in a world populated by characters from old magazines. Borowczyk and Lenica started using new techniques - both with cuttings and combined. Both authors made a new way for other artists.
